DAY 1 - Welcome to Italy
Benvenuti! Following a private transfer out of Florence Airport you will check in at your hotel. Today is for you to relax or stretch your leg around your hotel garden.
DAY 2 - Cortona - walk
After breakfast a short transfer to Terontola, where your first walk will start. You and your guide will climb up into the hills which offer stunning views of Lake Trasimeno and Cortona. The afternoon portion of the walk is more of a breeze, as you descend to Villa di Piazzano, which lies in the valley just below you.
DAY 3 - Cortona - walk
Climbing up over the hills behind Piazzano, we enjoy stunning views of Lake Trasimeno and its islands. We will walk on dirt trails, crossing the border into Umbria as we make our way to the tiny village of Sanguineto, famous as a Roman Republic battle site during war with Hannibal. This trail running in the woods of the Cortona hills, offers, halfway, a stunning view over Cortona and the Valdichiana. Back on foot to your hotel for the rest of the day at leisure.
DAY 4 - Montepulicano - bike
A quick transfer will take you where your biking day will start today, while your luggage follow on to your hotel located in the centre of the little town of Montepulciano. Our ride will then take us through the sweeping Val d'Orcia and to the quaint town of San Quirico d'Orcia. We'll continue our ride after passing by the village of Montichiello before turning then back to the hotel for some relaxation time before your dinner.
DAY 5 - Montepulciano - bike
The second day of biking will take us from the hotel and to the town of Asciano and then towards the village of Montisi where we will have an exquisite light lunch prepared by Mr. Bindi, who is not only by one of Tuscany's finest chefs, but also continuously produces and wins various awards and competitions for best olive oil in Italy. From here, back to the hotel into Montepulciano. Tonight a walk into the Redi cantina, and then dinner at one of the fabulous restaurants in Montepulciano.
DAY 6 - Siena - walk
Today our walk will take us to the city of Siena, hiking on a rural path through the rolling wheat fields and olive trees. Before entering the city we'll reach on foot through Porta Romana, the hotel at the heart of town. Later in the day you meet your guide for a walking of this city. Set on three hills, the city is drawn together by winding alleyways and steep steps, whilst the Piazza del Campo stands at its heart, and the Duomo and St Maria della Scala serve as additional cultural landmarks.
DAY 7 - Florence
After breakfast you will be picked up by your private driver and transferred to your hotel in Florence's historic centre. On the way to Florence you'll stop at Vignamaggio, the birthplace of Monnalisa, for a visit of the beautiful villa's gardens and cellars and a lunch with wine degu. In the afternoon, after checking in, your guide will collect you for a guided introduction to Florence's current and past history. Born and raised in this remarkable city, your Florentine guide leads you through Piazza della Signoria, an open-air museum and ideal introduction to the Renaissance and its priceless sculptures. You then make your way to the other most historic square, Piazza del Duomo, a colorful riot of inlaid marble and stones. Here, you want to review Ghiberti's Gates of Paradise, sharing well-known stories through each of its incredible bronze panels. Your well-earned thirst is rewarded with an aperitivo in one of the most famous cafes to witness the early evening locals' passeggiata.
DAY 8 - Arrivederci!
A transfer to Florence airport is set for you.
